FAQ
Questions, answered honestly
Launch matching is questionnaire-first, image measurement is disabled, and any recommended product is purchased from Amazon, not from SoleMetric.
SoleMetric Match is a questionnaire-first fit-recommendation service. You enter your shoe context, sizing details, and comfort preferences; a transparent rules engine compares those answers with a human-reviewed catalog of ready-made retail insoles. If you choose a product, the purchase happens on Amazon. SoleMetric Match recommends existing ready-made retail insoles using questionnaire answers only. It does not custom-manufacture, diagnose, or use images in today’s ranking. Amazon is the seller. This link contains no Associates tag; SoleMetric does not earn from it. Confirm price, size, availability, delivery, and returns on Amazon.
No. SoleMetric Match recommends ready-made retail products manufactured in standard size ranges. Your answers help rank the catalog; they are not sent to a factory and nothing is made from them. SoleMetric Custom is the separate, in-development concept for an individually designed product, and it is not generally available.
SoleMetric Custom is our in-development premium tier: left and right insoles individually designed from detailed foot and shoe-insert geometry and manufactured per customer. It cannot be purchased today. The current preview can record interest in a future refundable $10 reservation only after founding-list delivery is configured; no reservation payment link is open.
No. Launch recommendations come from a deterministic rules engine. It scores the questionnaire details you can inspect and change, including size, width, arch preference, shoe type and volume, removable-liner status, firmness, cushioning, activity, standing time, and budget, against reviewed catalog evidence, with hard exclusions for known incompatibilities.
No. SoleMetric Match is a retail fit suggestion, not a medical device, prescribed orthotic, clinical assessment, diagnosis, or treatment. Recommended products are ready-made retailer items. If you have persistent pain, an injury, diabetes-related foot concerns, or circulation issues, please consult a licensed healthcare professional.
SoleMetric Match uses your confirmed shoe sizing system and size, shoe width, arch preference, shoe type and volume, removable-liner status, firmness and cushioning preferences, activity, standing time, and budget. Those questionnaire answers are processed in your browser.
No. SoleMetric Match uses questionnaire answers. Guided capture is a preview of a future workflow: files you select remain in the browser preview and are not uploaded or analyzed by SoleMetric. Automatic image measurement is disabled at launch.
A removable factory liner can affect whether a replacement insole is compatible with the available space and intended setup of the shoe. SoleMetric Match uses your yes, no, or unsure answer as a compatibility input; it does not ask you to measure the liner.
Then we say so. If every product in the collection fails the compatibility rules, the match flow tells you honestly rather than recommending something that won’t work. It may also point you to the SoleMetric Custom founding list as a future option; SoleMetric Custom is still in development and is not available today.
Yes. The results show a best overall match and compatible alternatives with plain-language reasons and tradeoffs. You decide which retailer link, if any, to follow. Before buying, confirm the selected Amazon size, seller, current price, availability, delivery estimate, and return terms.
The recommendation links to an Amazon product page. SoleMetric does not take the Match order or payment. Amazon is the seller. This link contains no Associates tag; SoleMetric does not earn from it. Confirm price, size, availability, delivery, and returns on Amazon.
Launch Match questionnaire answers are processed in your browser and are not submitted to SoleMetric by the matcher. Selected preview files remain local to the browser and are not uploaded or analyzed; automatic image measurement is disabled. No server retention for launch match answers or preview files. When approved delivery is configured, the separate SoleMetric Custom founding-list form submits only the information shown on that form.
Amazon and the selected seller determine delivery availability, timing, and tracking. Check the current estimate on Amazon before buying; SoleMetric cannot promise a shipping date. Amazon is the seller. This link contains no Associates tag; SoleMetric does not earn from it. Confirm price, size, availability, delivery, and returns on Amazon.
Amazon and the selected seller control return eligibility, exchanges, refunds, defects, and delivery support under the terms shown for that purchase. Start with the order in your Amazon account. SoleMetric can help you revisit the questionnaire, but it cannot authorize or process an Amazon return.
You can run the matcher separately for each shoe type, since a dress shoe and a work boot can need very different profiles. Any purchases are separate Amazon transactions subject to Amazon’s current terms.
Amazon or the selected seller provides the confirmation, payment record, delivery updates, and post-purchase support. SoleMetric does not receive or fulfill the Match order. Check your Amazon account for transaction details.
